Design-Driven Restaurant Site with Clear Ordering Paths and Crisp, Brand-True Visuals.

Okome Asian Grill & Boba Tea is a Lexington, KY spot built on the concept of “FAST, FRESH, & FIT,” blending traditional Asian flavors with modern techniques and a menu designed to be 100% gluten-free. The brand positions “Okome” (rice) as both culinary foundation and cultural symbol, aiming to be a welcoming gathering place for bowls, boba, and better-for-you choices. Location: 341 South Limestone, open daily from late morning to late evening.

The Problem

The owner had a strong visual direction and wanted that exact aesthetic translated into a fast, mobile-first site. The project needed to connect visitors to online ordering without turning the site into a bloated e-commerce build, keep content minimal and on-brand, and ensure uptime and speed with managed hosting. Icons were also needed to reinforce wayfinding and the “healthy meets flavorful” positioning.

The Approach

We built a custom WordPress site that precisely follows the client’s design cues, maintaining consistent typography, spacing, and color usage across all pages. The layout orients users toward simple choices and a prominent “Order” flow, linking to third-party ordering from multiple entry points (hero, menu, and footer), so visitors can start an order with just one tap. We created lightweight, brand-matched icons to support scannable navigation and section headings, then tuned performance for fast mobile loads. Finally, we host and maintain the site, handling SSL, backups, and updates so the team can focus on food and service instead of server drama. The end result is a clear, trustworthy web presence that mirrors the in-store experience and funnels traffic directly to ordering.
