Root-Cause Care, Modern Site: Practice + Supplement Shop Built to Convert and Scale.

KALE Functional Medicine is a Houston practice focused on integrative, root-cause care. The site positions the clinic as patient-centered and evidence-based, helping women navigate hormone health while addressing whole-person wellness. The team is led by Dr. Miiko Rowley, a board-certified Family Medicine physician with IFM certification. Their pages describe a structured approach that blends functional and holistic therapies, along with clear routes to services, FAQs, and a supplement shop connected to the brand.

The website we created for Kale MD is mobile-optimized, and showcases their work in their colors and branding.

The Problem

The practice needed a modern web presence that told a coherent story across services, explained the functional-medicine approach without jargon, and made it effortless for patients to inquire or book. They also wanted a branded supplements storefront that could be updated without developer help, with inventory synced to avoid out-of-stock surprises. Reliability mattered: fast pages, low maintenance, and no spam in the forms.

Our Approach

We designed and built a mobile-first WordPress site that orients visitors to “root-cause, evidence-based care” in plain language, with clear CTAs to book discovery calls and explore services. Forms were rebuilt and protected with Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated spam while maintaining a simple experience for real people. For revenue and retention, we launched a Shopify supplement shop on a branded subdomain and integrated inventory updates so product status stays accurate across catalog and PDPs. We host and maintain the stack end-to-end (SSL, backups, updates, and monitoring) and instrument analytics events for bookings, form submissions, and shop actions to show what actually drives conversions. Linking the clinic site and the shop preserves a unified brand while allowing each system to do what it does best.

Kale MD spotlights health and wellness for all, with a focus on women. This image shows the website on a tablet.
