Travel nursing has become a vital part of the medical profession, but travel nurses often have to manually compare contracts, which quickly becomes a complicated process. Roam was created with travel nurses in mind, so contracts, stipends, and even taxes can be effortlessly compared, and the best one chosen every time.
The Challenge
Travel nurses face wildly different tax rules and pay structures depending on the state, agency, and job. What appears to be a great offer on paper may not be so attractive after considering taxes, housing stipends, and shift differentials. Most nurses end up doing the math manually, or worse, guessing.
The client came to us with a big idea: automate this headache. Make it mobile, fast, and simple. So we did.
Our Approach
Our strategy focused on three things: simplicity, speed, and accuracy. Working closely with the client, we built a mobile-first experience with robust backend logic that pulls real-time tax data from all 50 states. Users enter their contract details, and the app does the rest by breaking down their estimated take-home pay, per diem, and shift differentials in seconds.
