A Sober Living Home
Blessed Builders is a sober living facility that provides peer support, housing, and stability for individuals seeking sobriety, emerging from a desire to help more people. In order to heal, people need a safe and supportive place to live, build their life, and start fresh, free of addiction. Blessed Builders Sober Living provides that stability, as well as accountability and a place for connection.

The Challenge
The client needed a fully comprehensive web application and mobile application that would allow them to communicate between staff, clients, and create separate in-home communications. They needed a way to complete intake, track clients, set up meetings, and monitor drug screenings. They also wanted to create a simple but efficient app for their clients to track location and other important information.
Blessed Builders was operating entirely off of paper documentation, Google spreadsheets, and Facebook. Because they have multiple sober living homes, they did not have a way to communicate between homes or with clients without using Facebook. They needed a straightforward web portal that would seamlessly integrate with their mobile system.
Our Approach
After listening to the client’s ideas, we developed a web portal and mobile application that functioned in real-time, enabling staff and guests to communicate, track their location, and update treatment needs, daily tasks, and meeting schedules. The web portal side allowed new guests to be checked in, documents to be signed and uploaded, tracked progress, and processed billing. The app side included a chat feature, real-time location tracking when clients left the houses, and updates on meetings and tasks.
- Encrypted live chat and group chats between homes, as well as staff and guests
- Real-time location tracking for guests leaving the home to go to work or other locations
- Admin ability to add homes, beds, guests, and room floors as the organization grows.
- A simple payment system with rent tracking, Stripe integration, and reminders for guests.
- Tasks and Meetings can be planned and attended, either online or in person
- Dashboard feature for guests that lists important information, tasks, and personalized information.
- Admin, Manager, Assistant Manager, and Guest levels (which can be adjusted at any time by the Admin)
These tools enable guests and management to maintain consistent communication, with easy access for both guests and staff.
